GeoGuessr. Yes!

I don't like playing cards, Monopoly or other board games. I prefer reading a book. I know ... I am such a bore when it comes to this.  

Since last week I am addicted to GeoGuessr: link. It's a game in which I can use all my knowledge and intuition. The colors of the sky and the shape of the clouds. History. Geography. Languages. Smell of a country.

Have a try. You will like it. My best guess was 8 km!

No Milk Today

Canoeing at Night

At Pentecost - a basic holiday for all in my country - I went camping with my two sons near the IJssel #NL. We arrived around 20.30 on Friday evening. My brother and his two sons would come the next morning.

Within half an hour we were ready for the night. What to do next? Me: nothing ... just enjoy the view. W & S went canoeing. Within sight distance! With a life jacket! The water is cold at this time of year. Next to that I was not sure about the currents.

Everything went well. They loved their canoeing trip! It was dark when they came back.

I am wondering how they will remember their Friday evening canoeing, ten, twenty or thirty years from now. Canoeing at night with two flashlights ... that must leave traces.

Prayer to a Goddess

The pictures I took with my iPhone5 are not great but it's the best I could do on Saterday evening in Eindhoven #nl, without using a flashlight. It was the first time I had seen Ana Moura singing live.

 

How lovely! Her voice is beautiful. Live too. Most of the time she sang her songs with her eyes closed. It makes her singing more intense. 

What surprised me most was the way she moved her head, fingers, hands and hips. So in control, elegant and ... sexy. Como em prece a uma deusa. Em silêncio ouve-se o fado.

Some Kind of Blue

Two pictures I took Sunday. I walked with my mum 20 km. It was such a lovely sunny day. Spring! Beautiful clouds. Do céu ficar azul. That color.

Ordinary

Wednesday I walked with S to Huis K. I walked. S rode his bike. Near the road of the Huis we saw the first Pinksterbloemen. (In English 'Cuckoo Flower' and in Latin 'Cardamine Pratensis'.)

Mostly the first Pinksterbloemen grow in wet meadows 4 to 6 weeks before Pentecost  (Dutch 'Pinksteren'). In Dutch these flowers are called 'Pentecostflowers'. I guess because they show their flowers around Pentecost.

Lovely to see them again. Another year round! #seasons

I love ordinary things like that ... it makes life shine.
