Lambs Turn into Clouds & Floating Cows

Anna Silivonchik, Fish Can't Say, What Bird Can Sing (2005). Oil on canvas

Anna Silivonchik, Lambs (2012). Oil on canvas

Anna Silivonchik, Large Fish (2010). Oil on canvas

Anna Silivonchik, The Heart of Paradise (2015). Oil on canvas

I love the art that Anna Silivonchik (1980) makes. The images. The colors. Reality that fades into Otherness. More art of her: here.

Nor Sold

Another lovely read. Book: Mulvagh, 'Madresfield: One house, one family, one thousand years' (2008). A book with a lot of details of the Lygon family that has been living for 28 generations, unbroken, at one place: Madresfield Court, Worcestershire (since 1086/ 1196). In a house that never has been bought nor sold.

The Lygons are one of a handful of families who can claim such unbroken longevity in one place: the Fulfords of Fulford, Devon (since before 1200); the Gordon-Duff-Penningtons of Muncaster, Cumbria (1208); the Hoghtons of Hoghton, Lancashire (since early 1200s); the Giffards of Chillington Staffordshire (since William the Conqueror).

In this book the history of this family is written. The ups and downs financially and socially. The black sheeps. The renovations to the house and garden.

Richard Ligon (1585?–1662) was one of its black sheeps. He bought a part of a sugar plantation in Barbados. He stayed there a couple of years and on his return in England he wrote 'A True and Exact History of the Island of Barbadoes' (London 1657). Interesting: here (PDF).

23/4

Close. You were so close. We almost melted. I loved the affirmation you gave to me - I know you felt the same. I loved to give more than to take. Your eyes: the key to the s** as h** you and the w** t**. The love of my life. Mas ...our us was palavras. Apenas palavras.
In retrospect this was my happiest moment. The moment when you asked me, when we strolled through the city (a fresh wind, sun on our faces): "am I allowed to hold your hand?" Yes! Sem palavras mas real world us. Nothing beats the real thing. You! I miss you.

P.S. Close second happiest moment. Our first kiss sitting on the curb in the sun. As natural as our us.

Bathroom

I would love to have a bathroom with these tiles on the floor. And tiles with autumn leaves on the walls and ceiling.

Gonna kiss them away
True
It's a clear day"

Tetrapharmakos

Let me repeat, "we" don't have to go to Bali to get in balance. We don't have to study an Eastern religion to find (y)ourselves. We don't have to use drugs or another 'soma' to be happy.

The recipe for leading the happiest possible life is right here - since 4th century BC - in Europe. And its Ancient Greek cook is Epicurus. His 'four-part cure' is:
Don't fear god,
Don't worry about death;
What is good is easy to get,
What is terrible is easy to endure.

More - a Chinese garden of course: here.
